LostBrain's First Press Release

For Immediate Release: 4/8/03
Editors of LostBrain.com Announce They Wouldn’t Mind Webby Award Nomination

At a last-minute press conference called at the National Press Club building in Washington, D.C., Brandon Stahl, Eric Butterman, and Travis Daub announced that LostBrain.com wouldn’t mind being nominated for a Webby Award.

“We wouldn’t mind winning it either,” added Stahl, clearly in the grip of a fit of delusional grandeur. “We realize that the Onion wins the humor category every year virtually uncontested—but we’d still like to take a shot."

"After all, that Onion’s gotta go rotten one of these days,” smirked Daub. Stahl and Butterman congratulated Daub for his brilliant metaphor by letting out ‘hoots’, ‘yelps’, ‘yah-dawg’s, and granting him high fives.

Connie Chung, eating lunch next door, was not amused.

“Just to clarify,” added Butterman, “we do want to be nominated.”

The press conference closed to an air-guitar performance courtesy of Stahl keyed to the Baha Men classic: Who Let the Dogs Out.

Daub and Butterman sang backup.
